Fasilat Oluwakemi Hassan
Dr Fasilat Hassan is a PhD. Graduate student at the UTHSC, she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree (DVM) from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 2016 and Master’s degree in Veterinary Biochemistry at the University of Ibadan in 2019. She joined the Biomedical science program at UTHSC, fall 2021 and Joined Dr Lebeche’s lab June 2022.
Md Monirul Hoque
Dr. Md Monirul Hoque is a Ph.D. graduate student in the Department of Physiology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He received his MBBS (MD) from Ibrahim Medical College at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2014 and his Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University, USA, in 2021. He joined the UTHSC in 2021, and Dr. Lebeche’s Lab in 2022.
Joy Olaoluwa Gbadegoye
Joy Gbadegoye is a Graduate student in the Department of Physiology. She has a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Ibadan Nigeria and prior research experience in cardiovascular and reproductive physiology from the University of Ibadan. She Joined the Lebeche lab in May 2022.

Ata Amro
Ata Amro is a second-year student at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine. Raised in Memphis, Ata earned degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and Political Science. Ata joined Dr. Lebeche’s lab in 2023.
Postdoctoral
Abdul Majid
Dr. Abdul Majid is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Department of Physiology. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Nutrition at CSIR – Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), University of Mysore, Mysore, India, in 2022. Dr. Majid became a part of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2022 and joined Dr. Lebeche’s lab in the same year.
